WOMADelaide is an alternative music festival that occurs annually over the March long weekend (11-14th March 2016). This year WOMADelaide will be celebrating its 20th festival in Adelaide's picturesque Botanic Park. With music represented from over 30 different countries across 7 stages you are guaranteed to find music to nurture your mind and liven your soul. This year WOMADelaide is introducing new aspects to the renowned festival as well as reintroducing some old favourites to give festival goers a refreshingly enticing experience. WOMADelaide and the independent Adelaide - based label Pilot Records will be introducing ‘Electro Lounge to festival goers this year. Electro lounge is a section of the festival where individuals are given the opportunity to either wind down to fresh electronic sounds or get fired up for the next DJ set.


WOMADelaide has always offered children under the age of 12 free entry into the iconic festival yet this year they are stepping it up and now offering children a section of the festival entirely for their entrainment. ‘KidZone’ is a new area entirely dedicated to children, with free entertainment, activities, theatre, science discoveries, story telling, dress up and much, much more the KidZone world will satisfy both children and parents alike.


If you have ever entered the world of WOMADelaide you would have a good understanding that coming with an empty wallet is a big mistake. WOMADelaide offers festivals goers with an exceptionally broad range of shopping opportunities, and this year they are introducing ‘WoMade’. WoMade will be section of the festival that will offer individuals the opportunity to view the work of 17 different Adelaide designers and makers. Body products, homewares, leather goods, sculpture and fashion are only a few categories from the exquisite range. There are also another 41 stalls from retailers all around the world that all come together to offer you an extraordinary diverse market experience like no other.


If WOMADelaide hasn't already won you over, prepare yourself to go and purchase tickets; you won’t be able to resist this section on WOMADelaide’s ability to satisfy every single food and drink craving you have ever experienced. “Taste The World” at WOMADelaide with over 50 different restaurants and food stalls bringing you mouth-watering dishes from all over the world.
