New to the Regent Arcade family is a mecca of makeup products that are available in this little nook called Hebe and Co. But, what makes this store stand out from the rest is the fact that it is 95% vegan and cruelty-free!

A family-run business, Hebe and Co. is all about providing its customers with options of makeup that is ethically sourced and products from around Australia and overseas.

Who owns the business Hebe and Co.?

The faces behind Hebe & Co are owner, Jenny Tibbenham, and her two daughters Sian and Georgia as well as her sister Val.

How did the idea for opening up Hebe and Co. come up?

The idea for Hebe came up after many futile attempts to find good quality beauty products that I could trust were cruelty-free. I had been frustrated that there wasn't a shop where I could get a variety of products in one place. Adding to that, most of the really great brands were only available online.

What made you choose the specific brands to be featured in your store?

The brands that I chose to open the shop with were the highest quality that I could find, they are also mostly Australian owned and are made using Australian ingredients. I wanted to introduce some new ranges to Adelaide - something that they wouldn't see in every other shop. And two of the US brands I chose have the most incredible eyeshadow colours and the intensity is amazing - they’ve been incredibly popular!

What are you hoping for your customers to experience through a visit to Hebe and Co.?
I hope that when customers come to Hebe & Co., they experience a warm welcoming space. I have tried to move away from the cold clinical feel of a lot of traditional makeup shops. I also hope that by shopping ethically for their beauty needs, people will feel good  that they are doing their small bit to alleviate the needless suffering of animals.

How do you source your products?

The products I have sourced were mainly found through CCF (Choose Cruelty Free) - it is a website that has an incredible list of fully accredited companies. My US suppliers are likewise accredited in their country.

Are there any locally sourced products (from South Australia) that you'd like featured as being part of the Hebe and Co. family?

Unfortunately I don't have any local brands as yet, but I am always open to any suggestions.

Is there anything in particular that you'd like our readers to know about Hebe and Co.?

Hebe & Co would love everyone to come in and see some new products to Adelaide! We are a small family owned and run business committed to introducing people to beautiful, high quality products that are good for them, and help us to make a stand against animal testing.
