THE ADELAIDE SET.

Gogo Lady Boy is situated at the top of Hindley Street meaning that it is comfortably close to a range of restaurants to grab a bite to eat before heading out afterwards for some great drinks and music. Gogo Lady Boy is open on both Friday and Saturday, although these two nights are offering slightly differing scenes. Friday is a great night to grab a few drinks with mates and is known for its Full Moon Parties, pub-crawls and Pre’s for after parties! Saturdays a place to party in a packed venue with a lot more of a “nightclub” feel. Gogo Lady Boy hosts the Full Moon Party at the end of each month attracting large crowds on a Friday night with discounted drinks and full moon party style face paint for added authenticity.

The group over at Gogo Lady Boy have made the venue feel more spacious than the previous Tijuana Showgirls by making a few major changes to the decor such as fluorescent paint, little straw roofs, new wooden structures and a ping pong table over the top of the pool table plus many more.

The music style for a nightclub is in a niche as it steers away from the overplayed heavy electronic music that seems to dominate the majority of the Hindley street nightlife. The Gogo Lady Boy DJs seem to have a particular emphasis on R&B, Pop music and nostalgia playing a few 90’s classics. It is often a pleasant surprise to hear a childhood favorite played.

The bars are another feature of the place that has really set it apart from most other nightclubs in Adelaide especially for the size of Gogo Lady Boy its self being on the smaller side of clubs. They consist of the main bar, sports bar and the bucket bar. Each to their own having a different manner about them the bucket is the newest addition replacing the former shot bar, creating cocktails in buckets from a spirit and choice of mixer. The drinks bars are all spaced evenly across the club making light work of buying a drink rather than having to queue.

All in all Gogo Lady Boy is a little Hindley street gem which wont leave you penniless, with a casual dress code the vibe is very relaxed and gives off a great atmosphere. Attracting large crowds of people from their late teens to late twenties it makes for a very social place to grab some drinks on the weekend. The service is great and all the staff are polite with smiles all round. If you enjoy a night out on the town then Gogo Lady Boy is a quintessential venue that wont let you down.

Go Go Lady Boy is a bar/nightclub tucked away at the top of Hindley Street formally known as Tijuana Showgirls. One of Hindley Street’s busiest venues, commonly referred to as ‘TJ’s’ was reinvented into a South East Asian themed venue, drawing a heavy inspiration from Thailand’s famous Full Moon Party and underground party scene. It brings something exotic, fresh and new to Hindley street, as well-executed themes are usually eschewed in the tedium of the Adelaide nightclub scene
